Half-day hiking route. The route consists of an asphalt road, a gravel road, a wooden path, and forest paths.

By choosing this route, you will visit the Pavarias lime tree and Pavarias stone, Niūronis, where the only Horse Museum in Lithuania is located, highland homesteads, you will pass part of the Horse Trail, visit the places commemorating partisans, and admire the Palatavis hillfort (it is believed that King Mindaugas' castle Latava stood on it).

The route starts at the Anykščiai Regional Nature Park Visitor Center. Here we suggest visitinginteractive exhibition. From the visitor center, travel towards the Šventoji River and when you reach the “Šventoji Left Bank Health Trail”, follow it to the right. At the end of the trail, drive about 5 km to Niūronys. After the horse museum, turn left at the intersection. This is the Horse Trail, drive along it for about 4.2 km (each kilometer on the trail is marked by wooden posts). When you see the Anykščiai Regional Park sign on the right, turn right after it. After passing the bridge and the church, turn left at the intersection, drive straight, you will soon see a sign towards the place where the partisans died, turn right here. Drive along this road for about 4 km, then turn left and you can visit the Palatavis Mound. When you reach the asphalt road, turn left, approximately 8 km to Anykščiai. When you enter the city and reach the T-shaped intersection, turn left. Driving through the city on the main road, you will reach the Anykščiai Regional Park Visitor Center.
