The Šventoji discovery trail is a 2–3 hour route consisting of forest paths.

As you travel the trail you will learn:Who needs ash? What is erosion? Can there be life on dead matter? What are clearings and sanitary fellings for? What does the Šlavė outcrop hide? How are old furrows formed? Where do hops, common sedges, and barberries grow? What is special about a steppe meadow? At the end of the educational trail is the Puntukas Stone, and next to it is the Treetop Trail.

Start of routeis located at the end of Vilniaus Street next to “SPA Vilnius Anykščiai”: coordinates (WGS) 55.509376, 25.086436. Travel along the sidewalk in a westerly direction along the Anykščiai grove until you see the wooden sign “Šventosios takas” on your left. Turn left along the forest path and you will soon see the first signboard on the trail. The educational trail is marked by green circles on tree trunks. There are a total of 17 stops – signs on the trail, which introduce you to the values of the Anykščiai grove, sung by Antanas Baranauskas, the plants growing here, and the natural processes taking place.
